Meals on Wheels is an organization designed to assist anyone over the age of 60 who has suffered a permanent or temporary illness, injury, accident or disability. Meals on Wheels is United Way Agency, that recieves funding through the city of Columbia. This organization relies primarily on the help and support of their volunteers. The volunteers deliver meals Monday through Friday. On average there are about 120-150 meals delivered daily.
Meals on Wheels has asked us to provide an assessment for two locations that they are contemplating running their work from. They have asked us to look at their current location which is the VA Hospital located on the MU campus, the other is the Senior Center which is located on the Business Loop in Columbia. Once finished with our assessments we will provide our decision to the board so that they can make a better, more informed decision themselves.
